A chance to come together to pray for our city with other leaders in the city!
Quotes from people that go:
'Not only is it good to pray with one heart for our city, but I’ve valued the personal support and prayer that we're able to offer each other as leaders seeking to share God’s love in different ways across Southampton.'
'I’ve been encouraged by praying together, hearing what God is doing through the church in the city and growing my faith in what He wants to do. I’ve enjoyed the times to connect with other leaders too and grow our relationships together. It’s an hour well spent!'
Letter from Paul Finn, (Chair of SCN)
I am writing to let you know about some recent developments in our Thursday morning BIBO prayer. In case you did not know, BIBO stands for Breathe In Breathe Out. In many ways this captures the essence of church leadership since in our ministry we are continually giving out. However, unless we are continually breathing in the Holy Spirit, our giving out will be shallow and ineffective.
For more than two years we have been meeting for an hour on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays in the month to fellowship and pray for ourselves and our city. Recently, we have sensed that God is wanting to birth something new in our city which will ultimately lead to more people coming to know Jesus.
We believe that this birthing will only come about through the travail of prayer and therefore we are committing ourselves to extending our times of prayer together.
We would like to encourage you to make these prayer times a priority in your diaries and to join with us in humbling ourselves before the Lord and seeking His face for an increase of His presence in our churches and city.
