DECEMBER ONWARDS...
PRAYER MEETING / THURSDAY 6 DECEMBER / 7.30PM - 8.30PM / ASCENSION CHURCH
Invitation to join in prayer for the end of gender based violence. Light a candle in support of the millions who suffer violence because of their gender; stay for a few minutes or the full hour.
From the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (25th November) until Human Rights Day (10th December), the 16 days’ international campaign raises awareness of, and promotes action to combat Gender-Based Violence.

Experience the magic this Christmas with a showing of the timeless classic film The Snowman, accompanied by a live orchestra performing the music from the film by Howard Blake. Suitable for all the family. Performed by The Romsey Sinfonietta, conducted by Craig Lawton with Leader Kath Roberts and including a chorister from Romsey Abbey Choir.

AN AUDIENCE WITH CS LEWIS / SATURDAY 29 DECEMBER / 7.30PM / CENTRAL HALL
Don't miss this powerfully inspirational one-man theatrical performance, being held at our very own Central Hall! 
Set in 1963, this captivating experience imagines CS Lewis hosting a group of American writers at his home in Oxford. Throughout the evening, he recalls the events and people that shaped his life and inspired his thoughts. Relax and listen as he talks of his friendship with JRR Tolkien, shares why he almost abandoned the Narnia Chronicles, explains how he came to embrace Christianity, and speaks of the American woman who turned his life upside down.
When: 7.30pm, Saturday 29th December 2018. Doors open at 6.30pm.

SOUTHAMPTON HOUSE OF PRAYER (SoHOP)
The House of Prayer will be launched on New Year's Eve at All Saints' Church, Millbrook (Sedbergh Rd.). We shall be there from 9 p.m. until 2 a.m. Then the regular weekly prayer will take place from 9 p.m. Friday till 9 p.m. Saturday, from January 4th, in the sacred space situated in 286 Burgess Rd. JOB VACANCY - WESTON CHURCH YOUTH PROJECT - FEMALE YOUTH WORKER
Are you passionate about sharing your faith and helping others to grow in theirs? Have you got experience of working with children and young people? Are you a positive, fun person? Do you enjoy working in a team?
Weston Church Youth Project is looking for a Female Youth Worker to assist in the delivery of youth club sessions.
Hours: Hours of work can vary but with a guarantee of 5 hours per week on a Tuesday (late afternoon to evening) during term time plus monthly weekend work (Saturday morning and Sunday evening) and during some school holidays.

SCM Basics Bank are in urgent need of volunteers on several days at the moment:
- At the food Basics Bank venue on a Monday hosted by Above Bar Church
- At the clothes Basics Bank venue on a Wednesday hosted by Ascension Church
- At the food Basics Bank venue on a Thursday hosted by Citylife Church
- With our warehouse sorting team on a Thursday in Millbrook

VOLUNTEER FOR SAFE FAMILIES FOR CHILDREN
Safe Families for Children is a Christian charity that partners with local churches to provide support to families who are struggling or in a crisis. Volunteers are trained and equipped to offer support to families either through hosting children, befriending or providing resources. Safe Families has funding in place to work with Southampton City Council over the next 3 years, and there is lots of opportunities to get involved.
